Bristol braces itself for bumber weekend of Cycling 19-20th August

A massive weekend of cycling awaits Bristolians as the city closes down to celbrate a weekend of cycling.

The action gets underway on Saturday with the Bristol GP race where a number of BCDS young riders will take to the streets as they do battle along  a technical circuit based around college green and the tight back streets by the Hippodrome. Last year saw a good turnout by the clubs riders who were unfortunate to miss out on a podium spot after some fine racing, with 8 BCDS riders on the start list it would be great to see members out in your club shirt to cheer on the home riders.

Full info about the race can be found here

On Sunday the streets turn over from racing to participation as British Cycling's rebranded HSBC UK City ride takes over the streets for a unique traffic free leisure cycling route with a number of activities for riders of all ages and abilities to get involved with.
Our Go-Ride coaches will be on hand to deliver Go-Ride taster sessions in the event village and a number of our young riders will be taking part in the pop up Street Velodrome racing during the day.
It's a free event to take part in and again it would be fantastic to see as many members as possible out enjoying the carnival atmosphere in your club tops to help promote the club.
