BCDS Go-Ride Racing with Aviva

We will be hosting Go-Ride racing events in the closed car park of Aviva's Headquarters in Stoke Gifford throughout the year, these races will follow on from the previous weeks coaching blocks and focus on a specific discipline, though you can use and bike so long as it has 2 working brakes.

The event is aimed at young people who are new to cycling and have been inspired to give racing a go after watching the top racers such as Lizzie Armistead or Chris Froome.
The racing will provide a mixture of both individual and group racing opportunities but its not all about who's the fastest as there will be skills challenges and our obstacle course designed to challenge and develop riders skills.

Bristol Cycling Development Squad are one of over 300 Go-Ride clubs throughout the UK that provide young people with the perfect opportunity to take part in cycling as well as supporting and develop riders skills to not only make the sessions fun but have a proven track record in developing future greats. At this years Tour de France all but one of the British Riders who started the race began cycling within a go-ride club.

This year the club have made been running sessions at Aviva's base in Bristol and with the Aviva Tour of Britain under way we are really happy to offer the chance for young inspired riders to give the sport a go. To take part in the session young riders simply need to bring a bike with 2 working brakes and a helmet.
Children don't need to wear lycra and the racing is open to all young riders aged 5-16 both boys and girls.
Racing will cost just £1 per rider and a parental consent form will need to be signed on the day, there will be prizes and awards for everyone so come on down and join us.
