Raj Soni Club Hill Climb championship

Each year our club hill climb challenge tests riders over 2 climbs of differing hills on the Mendips, The event is open to both members & non-Members of the club with a club trophy up for grabs for the fastest youth rider over the climbs of Burrington Combe and Blagdon Hill. There is a minimal entry fee of £3 which will be a donation to the Raj K Soni legacy trust.

Blagdon is the meeting point at 9.40am on Saturday the 27th October 2018 for this 2 stage challenge as riders will battle the short but sharp climb out of the village and onto the open fields and draggy climbs to reach the top of Mendips. Followed by a short rest and recovery in the Burrington cafe at the bottom of the Combe riders will then be set off up the combe in reverse order from the result of the Blagdon climb to crown the club winner.

Last year Matthew Pandagani-Sayce took the title and will be looking to retain despite some good competition from other young climbers within the club.

The starting point for stage 1 is immediately behind the Seymour Arms (BS40 7TH). Please do not use the pub car park as it gets very congested. Instead it is suggested that you park in Fallowfield (approx. 150m up the hill from the start). This is a residential area so please park considerately.
