L-dub become Access Sport’s Partner club of the Year!

  - Olympic Double Gold Medalist from Beijing's Velodrome, Bradley Wiggins, was on hand to at the event

With Cycling winning so many sports awards such as the BBC SPOTY off the back of the Olympic success it was brilliant to hear that our sister club, L-dub had been recognised by sports fundraising charity Access Sports Partner Club of the year at a Star filled Event at Lords Cricket ground.

The clubs coach & organiser, Nick Pepper made the trip to London to collect the award on behalf of the club which was in recognition of all the outstanding work being done at getting kids from the area into sport & the club.

Many big names from sport & Showbiz were out in force to support the event & help raise more funds for other partner clubs such as BCDS with auctions for sporting memorabilia.

Nick & his wife enjoyed the night out hobnobbing with all the stars such as our Olympic riders Rebecca Romero, Bradley Wiggins & Jody Cundy as well as Sporting starts such as Gail Emms, Danny Grewcock, Matt Dawson & funny man John Grimshaw.
